17th Aug. We got married last Saturday :) Satu´s last name is now Rantamaa too. We try to update websites as soon as possible... but hunting season is here and we don´t have too much time :D

Just before our wedding seremony Satu got happy SMS from Kemijärvi: Nemo got full points from open class water exams. Good work Sanna and Nemo!

5th Aug. Nemo was BOB and got CACIB in Kuopio international dog show. Good job gilrs!

3th August. Good news! Visa got full points (5/5) and Mette 4/5 points from open class water exams last Sunday.

Keijo and Turo took part to trials at the same time. Turo took 3rd prize (open class) again because of same broblems than last time. The judge liked Turos working a lot but he told us to train more. Yes, we´ll definitely do it and try again.

17th July. Tyyne traveled to her own home last Thursday. Her co-owner Johanna is now proud owner to two lh weim girl :) Good luck girls!

11th July. Water retrieving test in Kärkölä: Pera, Pink and Edi got 4/5 points in youth class. Well done kids!

At the same time in Oulu international dog show: Nemo was BOB with CACIB. Saku was there too. He got excellent judgement but this young man need time, he got VG. Well done both!

10th July. Turo took part first time to open class in retrievers cold game hunting test today. He got only 3rd prize because he did not wanted always listen to Keijo - and that´s very important in these kind of tests :D Well we just need to train and try again later!

22th June. Today is Visas birthday! Our snake charmer is now two years old, time goes so fast! Visa got nice birthday today: retrieving training, he swimmed loooooong time and got tasty bone for the dinner. Now he sleeps and look happy :D

8th June. Satu came home from Czech yesterday with ou lh import Aisha in Love Sanelle Sirrah 'Tyyne'. The trip was wonderful and Tyyne seems to be very nice puppy :) Big big thanks to you Kuba and Lenka!! Hopefully we´ll see you soon.

30th May. Because of cancellation we have one very promising male puppy available. We´ll gladly give more information.

26th May. Satu will soon travel to Czech Republic for picking our long hair import Aisha in Love Sanelle Sirrah home :)

25th May. Visa and Satu took part to their first blood tracking trial today. Satu made mistake in the beginning of the track but luckily Visa worked well after that. Result was 3rd prize (open class). Next time we`ll both have more knowledge about these kind of trials :D

19th May. More excellent show news! We took part to two dog shows last weekend with Pera and Pink.
Saturday: Pera BOS & CAC, Pink 2nd best female & CAC. Sunday: Pera BOB & CAC and Pink again 2nd best female & CAC. Now we can concentrate to water retrieving training etc. :D

5th Apr. Nomi spend her Easter here with us and we noticed that she is just like her mother Mette :) Can´t wait until autumn and seeing her in the fields! Also Edi visited here with his owners today and we trained together. It was such a pleasure to see him working with his owners, you have done so good work Mia and Hasse!

1st Mar. Keijo is now travelling to Lapland to take Nemo to home. Hopefully vet will see plenty of little grey ones in ultra sound after few weeks! My day was bit more funnier: I trained hunting with our dogs. Mette´s sons Edi and Remu was also there with their owners and we got great day! This day was good way to end this hunting season :) I´ll update photos soon.

28th Feb. It´s been busy week: Nemos mating, move to new house etc.. Let´s start updates with Nemos case: we travelled to airport last Monday morning 6.00am. We thought that we have plenty of time.. BUT! There was horrible queue and because of that (??) they did not took Nemo to the flight! They just said that there is no time even there was!
Afer that started big circus when Blue1 (SAS) tried to book new flight for us.. it took one hour, two hours.. 10(!) hours before we got new flight for Nemo and Annariina. First plan was to travel via Kopenhagen to Prague but now they needed to flight to Stockholm first. But (again!) the flight from Helsinki to Stockholm was late and girls missed the flight from Stockholm to Prague! And of course there was not opportunity to take other flight to Prague before next day.. You might believe that I was not too happy then!! There was two option: to wait next day or fly back to Helsinki. We decided that Annariina and Nemo will fly back to Helsinki because there was not time to loose. Now we needed to think what to do?!? Our original plan was to mate Nemo with Antony this year and with our own Visa next year. Now we decided to switch these two males: Visa is going to be dad this year and we´ll inseminate Nemo with Antony next year. Mating went well and we hope that we´ll have little hunters in the end of April!

And about moving: we have now realised our long time dream and moved to own house in coutry side! We´ll update photos soon :)

17th Feb. Nemos fiance´s Antony´sx-ray results are here: hips 0/0 (=A/A) and elbows 0/0. That´s great news!

14th Feb. Nemo started her heat last Thursday! If everything goes ok puppies will be there around 1st May. Can´t wait until we meet these little grey ones :)

29th Jan. We needed to make 'last minute' changes with Nemos fiance. We decided to mate her with wonderful Antony Shefis. Antony is very talented hunting dog and has several 1st prizes from hunting trials. His mother is Czech hunting champion Fiesta Noves and father English full champion Easdale Ridge. Nemo will start her heat soon.. How exciting!

17th Jan. Years first hunting day and it was fun like always! It was nice to see that youngsters are developing to nice hunting companion :) Thank´s for company everybody, especially Edi & family, Pink & Annariina and Kaapo & Kimmo!

10th Jan. Nemo and Aku took part to Kajaani international dog show today. Aku was BOS and got CACIB, Nemo was 2nd best female. Good work Sanna and Emma! Congrats!

7th Dec. Pera took part to match show (unofficial dog show for training) yesterday and was BIS 1. Not too bad because it was his first time when we trained showing ;) I made new gallery for Pera here. I´ll make own gallery for other dogs too... When I have time :)

28th Nov. Nemo got 3rd prize (open class) from field trial today! Now we just wait that her heat starts.. ;)

22th Nov. Visa got 3rd prize (youth class) from field trial today. A bit more time and training for this young lad and I´m sure that the prize will be higher. This trial was also youth class championship in our local gundog club and Visa got 3rd place. Now it´s easy to smile :)

24th Oct. Emma called today and told that Aku got 2nd prize (winners class) in obedience competition today. Emma also told that first prize was more than close today.. Better luck next time and congrats because of prize!!

We got also great news from Sweden. Zeb, father of Qasida´s E-litter got first prize (open class) in field trial!! He is now also S CH. Big big congratulations to Ulrica and Magnus!!

19th Sep. Greetings from hunting holiday! Today was day off for weimaraners and our Golden Retriever Turo took part to retrieving test with Keijo. It was great day and they got 1st prize from beginners class!

30th Aug. Water retrieving test today: Visa got 4 points (max 5) from youth class. He tried to start shake himself but stopped immetiadelly when I told him to do it. I´m very pleased with his working today :) Pink was there too and got 3 points from her first water retrieving test. Well done Ansku!

18th Aug. Hunting season is almost here. Finally! We´ll start by duck hunting on Thursday, pheasants are next (in the beginning of September) and forest birds after that.. It will be busy and fun autumn! We wish great hunting season to all!

4th Aug. Aku passed open class water retrieving test with 4 (max 5) points yesterday. Well done Aku and Emma!
Visa took part to his first water retrieving test today and passed it with 3 points (max 5 points). He swimmed and retrieved well but started to shake himself too early and that´s why dropped the dummy. We´ll definitely try to have full points later :)

3rd Aug. Aku got 3rd prize and won winners class in obedience trial last Wednesday. Good work Aku and Emma!

29th July. It was Mettes 6th birthday yesterday. Time goes so fast! I updated few new photos from her birthday party here.

26th July. Dog show in Helsinki today: Visa was best male, BOS and got his second CAC. Two shows and two CAC, not too bad! We havent trained showing at all and Visa played a little bit when running aroud the ring.. The british judge Mr. Jamer Ronald told me that I need to train to handle him better. Yes, he is right - I prefer to train hunting and that´s why I´m not the best one to handle dogs in show rings. Just need to train a bit :)
Here is Visas judging: Very good breed type and quality. Correct defined head. Pleasing eye expression. Correct bite. Good ears. Good neck and topline. Deep rib, strong powerful loin. Pleasing highnquarters. Good tailset. Very typical body and proportions. Needs better handling for getting the most of this ecellent dog.

22th June. Nice news from Rovaniemi International dog show: Nemo got EXC, was 2nd best female and got res-CACIB. Aku was 2nd best male and got res-CACIB too. Because the best male is already INT CH the CACIB will move to Aku later. Thanks Sanna and Emma. Again!!

6th June. Time goes so fast! Puppies are now 4 weeks old and becoming owners have started to visit here. One promising male is still available. I prefer to find active co-owner for him. You can find new photos here..

17th May. Sanna called me today and told good news: Nemo passed her mental test with excellent points (205) today. Well done Nemo and Sanna!

8th May. Puppies are here! Mette got 4 males and 1 female last night. She is again wonderful mother and puppies will have all they need :) All puppies are reserved. You can find some photos here.

4th May. We are now back in Mäntsälä, in same house than before. It means that the old address is again the right one :)

Mettes deliver day is getting closer.. Her puppy box is now ready and Mette have already spent some time in it. These are soooo exiting days!

2nd Apr. Good news! Mettes ultra sound was today and there is puppies coming around 10th May.

26th Mar. There have been several sunny days and spring seems to be close. Finally!
I try to ask if Mette have some puppies in her stomach but she does not tell :D Well, her secret will be solved next Thursday because I´ll take her to ultrasound. How exciting!

10th Mar. I needed to change male because of major problems when arranging the trip to Czech. SAS made mistake and at the same time Mettes blood test told that there is hurry already! I decided to mate Mette with young promising male named J JWW-08 Classid Dream´s Super-Man. mating went very very well and now we just have to wait. If things goes ok puppies will born around 10th May. Thanks to Zeb´s breeder Pernilla and his owners Ullis and Magnus. You´re great! And thanks for understanding to Hunter´s owner Katerina too!

I have also heard great news from Crufts, England. Nemo´s sister Ansona Vanity Fair was best female and got CAC. But it was not all yet! Nemos uncle Ansona Gamekeeper at Aarranz was BOB and got CAC too. Congratulations to breeder Tricia and owners!

28th Feb. Mette started her heat! If everything goes ok puppies will born in the middle of May. So exiting! Now we just need to keep fingers crossed :)

23th Feb. I came back from Poland last night with wonderful, brave traveller Pink. Flight went well and Pink is already with her co-owner Annariina. Thanks Ewa, Bolek, Ania and all! It was pleasure to meet you :)

8th Feb. Puppy show in Helsinki today: Visa was BOB and BIG 3. He behaved well and made me so proud. Now we can concentrate to train hunting until the season ends.

2nd Jan. It´s been busy winter: work, school, training, hunting etc.. when to update pages..? I´m ill now and what could be better way to spend time than doing something like that.

I´ll make little trip to Poland next month.. and import new participant to our hunting team. Pink will live with good friend of mine but we´ll train together.

17th July. How exciting day! My friend called and told me about two 1,5 weeks old collie puppies who needed new mom.. and fast! I decided to help and try if Mette would like to adopt them. And she really would! What a mother she is -she started to clean and feed them immetiadely. She made me so proud, I´m glad we can help these two little puppies :) New pictures here.

2nd June. Sad news again.. My so lovely dalmatian Senna passed away today. I miss you so much Senna! Now I can just cry but maybe good memories will console me..

20th May. Mettes ultrasound was yesterday and there was only one puppy alive and several who have already passed away. So sad, so horrible sad! I still wonder how Mette and I have such a bad luck this year! Why the snake bited Mette -I would have been better target! Well, that´s life. I of course understand that. Now we´ll to concentrate to this one puppy. He or she must be something special :)

5th May. I wonder how anybody can have such a bad luck.. Mette got bited by a venomous snake yesterday. Luckily the vetenarian in attendance could receive her immediately, because there really was a hurry! Mette got first aid here in Mäntsälä and after that we needed to drive to Helsinki. The accident happened at midday and we got home after 11 hours. Today Mette was in the vet from morning to 6pm and same thing tomorrow because she need to have hydration intravenously and pain medication. We´ll take some blood test tomorrow and next week. After that we´ll know if the is some injuries in innards. Hopefully she will be fine! Luckily she seems to be pretty fine now. I really really hope that her puppies are fine too!! 9th Apr. There will be a little updating break because of computer-problems.. so I need to tell you that Niki started her heat today and I`m pretty sure that Mette will start her heat soon too. Hopefully we´ll have puppies this time! Mettes fiance will be wonderful GB & IR CH Enryb Christmas Party 'Tommy'.

21st Mar. Last weekend Weimaraner Club of Finland rewarded Aku and Emma as newcomer of the year 2007. Big congrats Emma and Aku!

We have concentrated to hunting -both Mette and Niki seems to be very happy because of it ;) We have also trained obedience -our goal is to take part to obedience competitions later this year. But we need to train much before that!

7th Jan. Sad Monday! Mettes ultrasound was today and there was no puppies.. Feeling so bad right now. But it´s life and things like that happens. We´ll try to mate her later this spring. I´ll let you know more later.

I have good news too: We got long waited diploma from FCI and Mette is now officially International Show Shampion!
